Spring EXPO at Dodd Camera Cleveland

Join us on June 9th and 10th for our Spring EXPO in Cleveland.

The Spring EXPO is your chance to visit with representatives from your favorite brands, test out the latest gear, attend free seminars, and win prizes. Did we mention that nearly everything in store will be on sale?!

This year, we will be offering FREE SENSOR CLEANINGS (one per customer) to all attendees. Several vendors will be offering free tech sessions including hands-on time with the brand new medium format mirrorless cameras from Hasselblad and Fujifilm. We will also have EXPO long raffles that include SKB cases, Think Tank Bags, a Sigma lens, and $1000 worth of gift cards!

10:00 AM - Phottix System Overview

Phottix welcomes you to come and explore the options of firing cameras remotely and flash units off camera wirelessly. Come and learn the differences of what is required to shoot Wireless Hi Speed Sync and learn why you would want to.

11:00 AM - Sennheiser DSLR Audio and Microphone Overview

Ricardo from Sennheiser will discuss the importance of high quality audio and how it enhances high quality video. We will discuss the legacy of Sennheiser in the audio world, from it's past, present and future. Sennheiser makes it easy to deliver dynamic high quality with ease of use combined with robust reliability.

12:00 PM - Fujifilm GFX System Overview

Have you been waiting to get your hands on the new medium format mirrorless camera from Fujifilm? Here is your chance to come meet Fujifilm Technical Specialist, Jackie Hillyer and get a firsthand tour of the Fujifilm GFX 50s! Jackie will be guiding us through all of the amazing features and answering any questions you have. She will also be showcasing the much anticipated X100F, X-T20, and other Fujifilm X Series products.

1:00 PM - Hasselblad X1D System Overview

Hasselblad Sales Manager Steve Goldsmith will demonstrate the world's most compact medium format mirrorless camera, the X1D-50c. You will learn how to interact with the X1D via it's ultra-intuitive touch screen user interface. We will discuss the advantages of the leaf shutter system that all Hasselblad products use and why this is superior to HSS or HS flash technology used with DSLR cameras. You will see how to connect and control the X1D-50c from both a computer and an iPad giving you tethered workflow in both the studio or in the field. We will conclude with some hands on time with the X1D-50c.

2:00 PM - Westcott "Bleeding Edge LED Lighting"

"Bleeding Edge LED Lighting" presented by Westcott's National Accounts Manager, David Piazza, is a seminar that will take some of the mystery out of today's LED lighting that seems to be advancing at breakneck speed.

A discussion of the emerging technological advances and different types of light and what lighting solutions are best in different situations, along with tips on how to control those lights with easy to use modifiers.

The latest LED technology and Westcott's wildly popular Ice Light and Flex LED will be featured along with light modifiers that help produce the most desirable lighting in photography, filmmaking and corporate video with digital capture.

3:00 PM - Olympus "Landscape Made Easy"

Come spend some time with Olympus Camera Representative Mike Amico as he covers the basics of landscape photography and showcases some of his landscape work taken with the Olympus Micro 4/3 camera system. Mike will cover some of the key equipment choices and accessories that help to keep him mobile in the field. He will also cover some of the key settings he utilizes in order to capture some of these images that are only available with the Olympus system! Everyone is welcome to attend this class, regardless of which camera system is used.
