Refined, Lightweight Design

Sigma has re-engineered the 35mm f/1.2 to be approximately 30% lighter and 20% shorter than the previous version, making it easier to carry and handle for extended shoots. The lens includes an assignable AFL button, a focus mode switch, and a versatile aperture ring lock that can switch between clicked and declicked operation for smooth video work. A water- and oil-repellent front element and fully dust- and splash-resistant construction ensure reliable performance in challenging conditions.

Advanced Optics for Stunning Clarity

The optical design features four double-sided aspherical elements and one Special Low Dispersion (SLD) element, providing sharp, high-contrast images across the frame, even at f/1.2. A total of 17 elements in 13 groups, paired with an 11-blade rounded diaphragm, deliver beautiful bokeh while minimizing aberrations like color fringing and double lines. Sigma also optimized the lens for backlight resistance, reducing flare and ghosting for consistently clean results.

Enhanced Focusing System

The lens incorporates Sigma’s dual HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) autofocus system, offering fast, quiet, and accurate performance for both photography and professional video.
